Hugh Magnus, known as The Great, was born in 1057 in France.1   The Great's father was King Henry I Capet Of France, Duke Of Burgundy and his mother was Princess Anna Yaroslavna Of Kiev.  His paternal grandparents were King Robert II (The Pious) Capet Of France and Princess Constance De Aqu; his maternal grandparents were Grand Duke Yaroslav I (The Wise) Vladimirovich Of Kiev and Princess Ingegarde Olafsdoittir Of Sweden. He had a brother named The Fair.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 45 on October 18th, 1102 in Tarsus,Cilicia,Asia Minor.1

‌The Great and Adelaide were married in a religious ceremony in 1078.1   They had a son and three daughters, named Raoul, Agnes, Matilda and Isabelle.
