Matilda was born in 0892 in Ringelheim,Goslar,Hannover,Germany.1   Matilda's father was Count Theodoric De Rigelheim and her mother was Ludmilla Raginhildis Godefridsdoittir Of Middle Friesland .  Her paternal grandparents were Count Reginhart De Rigelheim and Countess Matilda De Rigelheim; her maternal grandparents were King Godefrid Haraldsson Of Haithau and Princess Gisela Carolingian Of Lorraine. She had a brother and a sister, named Lambert and Amalrada. She had a half-sister named Frederunda.  She died in Monastery at Quedlinburg.2 


Matilda's family with Emperor Henry I (The Fowler) De Saxony Of The Holy Roman Empire

‌Matilda and The Fowler were married in a religious ceremony in 0909.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Henry, Bruno, Otto II, Hedwige and Gerberga.
