Lesley Edwards Tree - This person has a "HIGH" DNA match (34 centimorgans in 2 DNA segments) to me. kmwright1 is also a Moderate match. You would expect a common 4x great grandparent (e.g.Job Stocks) or 10 degrees of seperation. There is commonality at Berry Brow, Almondbury, Yorkshire. John Dyson was born Almondbury, Mary Marsden, and Ellen Meltham before they moved back to Almondbury In 1841, John & Mary Dyson were neighbours of Job & Lucy Stocks (Park Gate, Berry Brow) In 1851, all are at Berry Brow (several doors appart) In 1861, all are at Back of the Hill. In 1881, John & Mary Dyson at Deadmans Stone Lane Job & Lucy could not have had any other marriages. William Kay of Almondbury, may have been baptised Tailor Hill - Another connection, and died Longwood Baptised at Meltham, St Bartholomew (but not Elizabeth) Parent Parent Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Parent Parent Parent Parent Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Parent Parent Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Parent Parent Biological Child Biological Child Biological Child Neighbor: Neighbours in 1841 Job at Berry Brow, John Dyson at Park Gate, Almondbury 1803 - 1879 Job Stocks 75 75 Job, a woollen weaver, is my 3x great-grandfather. Do not confuse with Job the Bookkeeper (b.1775), or Job the Cloth Dresser (b.1825)

In 1841, Job (a woollen Weaver) and Lucy (both 35) are living at Park Gate, Berry Brow, Almondbury with George (15), Susannah (15), Ruth (13) and Martha (9).

In 1851, Job & Lucy (47 & 48) are still at Park Gate with Ruth and Martha (22 & 19). Emma Stocks (grandaughter, 1 yr) is probably Ruth's daughter.  William, Susana and Emma Horsfall are neighbours.

In 1871, Living in Berry Brow, Almondbury with wife Lucy and grandson George Brook.

According to a letter to his nephew Joseph, Job cared for Benjamin and Sarah in their final years.

Job became infirm about 1875 and stopped earning.  He and daughter Susannah were supported by Alfred Healy, (assumed to be an agent of his nephew Joseph).

kmwright01 has a moderate DNA match and has Shadrach Kaye in her tree, but with no obvious connection to herself, and no pedigree links.

in 1841, John (25), Mary (30) and family were at Park Gate (by Berry Brow), Almondbury.  Job & Lucy Stocks were neighbours.

In 1851, John (39), and Mary (44) are at Berry Brow.

in 1881, John and Mary were at DeadmanStone Lane, Berry Brow.
1807 - 1886 Mary Raynor 79 79 Mary Ann Hoyle married John Hirst on 13 Aug 1827.  Is this the same Mary Ann Hoyle who married John Dyson 5 years later?  No, because John and Mary Ann Hirst lived through the 1851 and 1861 census.  Also, there's a better match with Mary Raynor, who was widowed and re-married John after Ellen was born and baptised (although shown as spinster on second marriage). 1830 - >1901 Ellen Woodhead 71 71 Ellen is not a popular name in this era.  There are no baptism for Ellen, dau of John Dyson, so she may have been Mary's daughter before they maried.  There is only one Ellen baptised at Meltham:  Ellen Woodhead (18 Apr 1830), and her mother was a Mary (and father Joshua).  There are no other baptisms for this couple here, so it is quite likely this is Ellen.

Although baptised Ellen Woodhead, was to be known as Ellen Dyson by her step-father on the 1841 and 1851 census.  However she used her birth name when married Joseph Raelinson on 1-Aug-1853.
1835 Emelia Dyson 1835 George Dyson In 1841, George (5) was listed after Hadfield (4), although is probably not important. 1837 - 1908 Hadfield Dyson 71 71 1839 Abraham Dyson 1841 Elizabeth Dyson Aged 3 months on the 1841 census. 1844 Mary Ann Dyson Hilary Mary Shaw 1852 Louisa Smith 1874 William Kaye 1876 - 1893 Charles Kaye 17 17 1879 Albert Kaye 1881 Tom Kaye 1883 Lena Kaye 1884 Ada Kaye 1886 Agnes Kaye 1888 Louisa Kaye 1891 - 1963 Edith Kaye 72 72 ~1807 - 1833 Joshua Woodhead 26 26 1907 Frederick Dyson 1908 - 1909 Leslie Thorp Dyson 6m 6m 1868 - 1939 Ernest Dyson 71 71 Lesley K Brown
