Jessie Eddowes

Jessie was born on September 15th, 1865 in Birkenhead and her baptism took place there on September 8th, 1865.¹²

Jessie's father was William Eddowes and her mother was Elizabeth Shortreid. Her paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, William, John, Agnes, Esther, Jennet and Lillian. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 78 in October 1943 in Wrexham.³
