Adeline's father was William Nelson and her mother was Clara Ann Mather. Her maternal grandparents were George Mather and Mary Marsh. She had a brother and five sisters, named James, Emily, Lizzie, Annie, Clara and Ettie. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 83 on August 28th, 1980 in Bolton. Her cremation was on September 2nd, 1980 in Bolton.²
