James Mather

James was born in October 1832 in Sharples and his christening took place on January 27th, 1833 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was William Mather and his mother was Sarah Bayley. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Alice Mather; his maternal grandparents were John Bayley and <unknown>. He had a brother named George. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named John, Ann, Alice and Betty. He died at 6 months old in April 1833 in Sharples. His burial was on April 12th, 1833 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
