General Notes
Mother Sarah was a widow when Alice died 5-Sep-1838, aged 16 months. Sarah (and daughter Alice) were living at Cotton St, Halliwell at the time of Alice's death in Sep 1838.
Sarah Mather is on the 1841 census at Waterloo. Just a few doors away are Samuel and Alice Mather and family (next page of census).
Its not clear who the father was, but may have been William Mather who died in 1837
Alice was possibly named after her grandmother.
