General Notes
Ann was 10 in 1841, at Waterloo, L.B. with her Mother Sarah Mather (35) and brother John Mather (1). She was 25 in 1851, so probably born before 1829. Ann therefore cant be a child of William Mather.
Recorded as Ann Wather (and corrected as Ann Mather) on the 1851 census, "Wifes Daughter" (i.e. stepdaughter).
William would have been too young to be Ann's father. Also, her mother Sarah was much older than William, so it is likely she had married before.
Ann Mather (1827-1893) was buried with George and Ellen Pendlebury at Halliwell. Is this her?
