Hannah (Ann) Mather

Hannah, known as Ann, was born on November 5th, 1842 in Birtle and her baptism took place on February 12th, 1832 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹²

Ann's father was Robert Mather and her mother was Grace Wood. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Judith (Judy) Chadwick. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Joseph, John, Edwin, Robert, Mary, Sarah, Mary, Betty, Emma, Alice and Grace. She was the eighth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 75 in 1917 in Whitefield.³
