Robert Mather

Robert was born on November 7th, 1807 in Walmersley and his baptism took place on December 6th, 1807 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹

Robert's father was Robert Madther and his mother was Judith (Judy) Chadwick. His paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Francis, Richard, Patience, Leah, Sally, Leah and Lucy. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 60 in February 1868 in Bury. His burial was on February 29th, 1868 at St. Paul (Bury).²³
