29 Apr 1840, before they were married, Judith Mather of Pigslee had twins Alice and Judith Mather by John Schofield of Deeply Vale. They were baptised the same day at Christ Church, Walmersley.
3 Oct 1841 John and Judith were married at Rochdale.
In 1851, John and "Lucy" were at Heap with daughter Sarah (8).
