Patience Mather

Patience was born in 1790 in Rochdale and her baptism took place on October 10th, 1790 at St. Chad (Rochdale).¹

Patience's father was Robert Madther and her mother was Judith (Judy) Chadwick. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Francis, Richard, Robert, Leah, Sally, Leah and Lucy. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 71 in June 1861 in Elton. Her burial was on June 29th, 1861 at All Saints (Elton).²
