Agnes Mather

Agnes was born in 1796 in Adlington and her baptism took place on June 2nd, 1797 in Rivington.¹²

Agnes' father was Edward (Nedde) Mather and her mother was Mary Hough. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and <unknown>. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Nathan, John, Alice, Mary, Margaret, John, Betty and Nancy. She died at the age of 61 in March 1857 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.³

- In 1825, Agnes Mather married John Stone (1804-1844), a Mechanic, at St. Mary Deane. Her witness was Henry Stones (assumed brother).
