7 June 1764, Jonathan Crosland of Butternab married Betty Liversedge of Dungeon. Butternam is the Southern end of Beaumont Park (called Dungeon Wood on the 1854 OS map), so they lived very nearby along the Beaumont Park Road. Dungeon Wood Bottoms lies next to Dog Hall and further North are Dungeon Grove and Dungeon Cottages. The Dungeon Turnpike is now the B6108 Meltham Road.
1765-1771, the births were recorded at Almondbury with mother Betty.
1773-1775, James and John were baptised at Huddersfield with mother "Elizabeth". (There was no other marriage between Jonathan Crosland and a Betty or Elizabeth until 1791).
