William Clarkson

William was born on July 6th, 1830 in Bolton and his baptism took place on July 26th, 1830 in Bridge Street Chapel (Methodist) conducted by Thomas Hardy.¹²

William's father was Richard Clarkson and his mother was Mary Rainford. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Peter, Robert, Joseph, Susannah, Jane and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 50 in March 1881 in Blackburn.³
