Mary is missing on the 1901 census, so presumably she married. Between 1891 and 1901, there were three Mary Clarkson Marriages in Blackburn (many more in Lancashire): 1892: Samuel Smith (Register Office) 1897: Richard Gillibrand (to Mary Ann) 1899: James Richard Mason (St Peter's, Darwen)
Mary and Samuel were married in a civil ceremony in 1892 in Blackburn.3 They had a son and a daughter, named Alexander and Ethel. There are no more children.
