      Richard Brereton who died Feb 23rd
      1873 aged 72 years.
      Also the above RICHARD BRERETON
      who died Feb 18th 1883 Aged 81 years.
      Also Martha Brereton youngest daughter
      of the above deid Feb 8th 1921
      aged 79 years
Richard was born in July 1801 in Harthill and his christening took place on July 5th, 1801 at All Saints, Harthill.1  Richard's father was Richard Brereton and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Haywood.  His paternal grandparents were William Brereton and Mary Ledsham; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Haywood and Alice Gregson. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named William, Richard, John, John, Abraham, George, Thomas, Elizabeth, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah and Kitty.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 81 on February 18th, 1883 in Harthill.  He was buried on February 22nd, 1881 at All Saints, Harthill.2 3

‌Richard and (Elizabeth) were married in a religious ceremony on January 2nd, 1826 at St. Thomas (Liverpool).9  They had two sons and six daughters, named Richard, John, Ester, Sarah, Elizabeth, Anne, Martha and Martha.  There are no more children.  Elizabeth and Anne were twins.
