1824 to 1839: John was a labourer, and moved around: Wybumbury, Walgherton, Checkley, Basford, Hough, Wybunbury, Shavington and Chekley.
In 1851, John and Elizabeth (both 50) were at Hough with son James Brereton (26). James Webb (9) was a visitor.
In 1861, John and Elizabeth (both 60) were at Wybunbury with son James and two grandchildren Martha and Joseph (5 & 3). James Webb (18) was a boarder.
In 1871, John (70) was with his son and wife Sarah and John Brereton at Wybunbury.
