Elizabeth was born in March 1831 in Wybunbury and her baptism took place there on March 6th, 1831.¹

Birth Notes

Elizabeth's father was John Brereton and her mother was Elizabeth Shenton. Her paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Ellen Latham. She had five brothers and five sisters, named James, James, William, Joseph, Joseph, Ellen, Mary, Martha, Harriet and Patience. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
