Dec 16 1863, John Brereton (27, farmer) married Mary Ann Lea (32, Spinster) at St John's Chester.
In 1871, John and Mary Ann (34 & 39) were farmers of 80 Acres at Manor House Farm, Harthill. They had Clara (4), Rosa (2) and two servants
In 1881, John and Mary (44 & 49) are at 133 Acre Dragon Farm, Chowley with Emily, Clara and Rosa (16, 14, 11) and three servants.
