Ann Brereton

Ann was born in 1818 in Overton.¹

Ann's father was Thomas Bruerton and her mother was Ann Vickers. Her paternal grandparents were William Brereton and Mary Ledsham. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, George, Abraham, Richard, Joshua, Sarah, Mary, Hannah and Jane. She was the sixth oldest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Elizabeth. She died at the age of 80 in December 1898 in Ashton-under-Lyne.²
