Jane Brereton

Jane was born in 1827 and her baptism took place on February 1st, 1829 in Ashton-under-Lyne.¹²

Jane's father was Thomas Bruerton and her mother was Ann Vickers. Her paternal grandparents were William Brereton and Mary Ledsham. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, George, Abraham, Richard, Joshua, Sarah, Ann, Mary and Hannah. She was the youngest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Elizabeth.
