Elizabeth was born on September 11th, 1805 in Harthill and her christening took place there on September 29th, 1805.¹

Elizabeth's father was Thomas Bruerton and her mother was Anne Owens. Her paternal grandparents were William Brereton and Mary Ledsham. She had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Thomas, George, Abraham, Richard, Joshua, Sarah, Ann, Mary, Hannah and Jane. She died whilst giving birth, Buried the same day as Thomas baptised., at the age of 18 in January 1824 in Chester. Her burial was on January 14th, 1824 in Chester.²³

- NOTE: There is another Betty Brereton born 22 April and baptised 25 May 1806. daughter of Richard Brereton of Harthill, labourer by Betty his wife.
  
  Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Brereton of Harthill, labourer, was born 11 Sep 1805, yet in December 1805 Thomas married Ann Vickars.
  
  Elizabeth, a spinster of St John Street, Chester, appears to have died in childbirth Jan 1824. She was buried the day her son Thomas was baptised at St John the Baptist, Chester.
