William Allen Malphrus

William Allen was born about 1837 in St. Lukes Parish, Beaufort Co., SC.¹   William Allen's father was William Edward Malphrus and his mother was Sarah. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  He was the youngest of the seven children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca, Sarah and Emily Jane.¹
