Mary Rebecca Malphrus

Mary Rebecca was born in 1848 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Mary Rebecca's father was William Edward Malphrus and her mother was Kitsiah Woods. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Sarah and Emily Jane.  She was the third oldest of the nine children. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.¹
