Ulysses Oliver Malphrus

Ulysses Oliver was born on March 28th, 1855 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Ulysses Oliver's father was William Edward Malphrus and his mother was Kitsiah Woods. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca, Sarah and Emily Jane.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  He died at the age of 71 on March 27th, 1927.¹
