Rubin Jacob Malphrus

Rubin Jacob was born on September 9th, 1860 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Rubin Jacob's father was William Edward Malphrus and his mother was Kitsiah Woods. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca, Sarah and Emily Jane.  He was the second youngest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  He died at the age of 57 on January 28th, 1918.¹
