Joseph Joshua Malphrus

Joseph Joshua was born on February 21st, 1852 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Joseph Joshua's father was William Edward Malphrus and his mother was Kitsiah Woods. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca, Sarah and Emily Jane.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  He died at the age of 76 on April 22nd, 1928.¹
