Sarah Malphrus

Sarah was born in June 1850 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Sarah's father was William Edward Malphrus and her mother was Kitsiah Woods. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca and Emily Jane.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.¹
