Emily Jane Malphrus

Emily Jane was born on February 28th, 1854 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Emily Jane's father was William Edward Malphrus and her mother was Kitsiah Woods. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Cornelius, Mary Rebecca and Sarah.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  She died at the age of 75 on October 18th, 1929.¹
