Cornelius Malphrus

Cornelius was born in 1863 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.¹   Cornelius' father was William Edward Malphrus and his mother was Kitsiah Woods. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Seaborn Nathaniel, John Brooker, Joseph Joshua, Ulysses Oliver, Rubin Jacob, Mary Rebecca, Sarah and Emily Jane.  He was the youngest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Isaac, William T., Isham E., James Edward, William Allen, Nancy and Rachel Ann.  He died at the age of 19 on April 14th, 1882.¹
