Ruth Beals 
Ruth was born on June 17th, 1757 in Surry, NC. Ruth's father was Bowater+ Beals and her mother was Sarah Ann+ Cook. Her paternal grandparents were John II+ Beals and Sarah+ Bowater; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Cook and Mary+ Underwood. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, John Bowater, Jacob+, Nathan, Ann, Phebe, Mary and Sarah Charity. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 62 in 1819 in Guilford, NC.General Notes
