Edmund was born in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  Edmund's father was Lord Roger de Mortimer III of Wigmore and his mother was Maud de Braose.  His paternal grandparents were Ralph de Mortimer II and Princess Gladys Dhu ("the Dark", "Ddu") verch Llewelyn; his maternal grandparents were William de Braose and Eve Marshall. He had a sister named Isabel. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William, Brian, Maud, Emma and Gwenlion.  He died on July 17th, 1304 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  He was buried in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.


Edmund's family with Margaret de Fiennes

‌Edmund and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony about 1285 in Fiennes, Bolonois, France.  They had a son and two daughters, named Roger, Isolde and Matilda.
