Judith was born in Lens, Artois, France.  Judith's father was Count Lambert de Boulogne II of Lens and her mother was Princess Adâelaèide de Normandie.  Her paternal grandfather was Count Eustache of Boulogne and her paternal grandmother is Mahaut of Louvain; her maternal grandparents were Count Robert ("the Devil", "the Magnificent") II of Normandy and Herleva de Falaise. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Peter, Stephen, Sibylle, Elizabeth and Adeliza.


Judith's family with Earl Waltheof II of Northumberland

‌Judith and Waltheof were married in a religious ceremony in 1070 in Artois, France.  They had a son and three daughters, named Huctred, Judith Alice, Alice and Matilda.
