Count Baldwin ("the Peaceable") I of Hainaut 
Baldwin, known as "the Peaceable", was born in 1030 in Flandres, France. "the Peaceable"'s father was Baldwin ("the Pious") de Flanders V and his mother was Princess Adelaide Capet. His paternal grandparents were Count Baldwin ("Fairbeard", "le Barbu") de Flanders IV and Otgive de Luxembourg; his maternal grandparents were King Robert ("the Pious") Capet II and Constance de Toulouse. He had a brother and a sister, named "de Fries" and Matilda. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 40 on July 17th, 1070.General Notes
