Myrtle Willie Straley

Myrtle Willie was born on August 20th, 1897 in Sterling City, Texas.¹ Myrtle Willie's father was Thomas Jefferson Straley and her mother was Lucy Allen Cope. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Leland Straley and Sarah Rebecca Clark. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Harry Artemis, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Spurgeon, George Leland, John Cope, Thurman Ernest, Sadie Allen, Alice, Lucy Ophelia, Reba and Thelma Ethel. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 60 in August 1957 in Ancho, New Mexico.¹
