Charles M Straley 
Charles M was born in 1795 in New River, Virginia.1 Charles M's father was Jacob Straley and his mother was Martha M. French. His maternal grandparents were MATTHEW H. French and SARAH Payne. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named David, Joseph, Leland, Daniel, French, Jacob Lynch, James, John, Catherine, Nancy and Sallie. He died at the age of 54 in October 1849 in Clark Co, Arkansas.1 General Notes
Charles and Betsey Straley had nine children, their names and sex are not known. Charles married Elizabeth McComas in Cabell Co. WV on July 16, 1818 and her age was given as 15 years old. The Census of 1820 lists two families, Isaac McComas and William McComas in Cabell County, WV.
Elizabeth may be the da ughter of either. (1) Charles' second wife, a Miss Warneck was married in IL a nd a son of this marriage was named Hugh. Charles later went to Texas. (2) Charles' Death Record indicates that he was 54 years old at time death, born in Virginia and the cause was "sudden-unknown". (3)

Andrew Jackson Straley
Andrew Jackson was born in January 1826 in Illinois.1 He died at the age of 82 in 1908 in Oriana, Stonewall Co, Texas.1
