David Straley

David was born in 1796 in New River, Virginia.¹ David's father was Jacob Straley and his mother was Martha M. French. His maternal grandparents were MATTHEW H. French and SARAH Payne. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Charles M, Joseph, Leland, Daniel, French, Jacob Lynch, James, John, Catherine, Nancy and Sallie.
