Charles Spurgeon Straley

Charles Spurgeon was born on September 6th, 1892 in Adamsville, Lampasas Co, Texas.¹ Charles Spurgeon's father was Thomas Jefferson Straley and his mother was Lucy Allen Cope. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Leland Straley and Sarah Rebecca Clark. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Harry Artemis, Thomas Jefferson, George Leland, John Cope, Thurman Ernest, Sadie Allen, Alice, Myrtle Willie, Lucy Ophelia, Reba and Thelma Ethel. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 81 on August 26th, 1974 in Ancho, New Mexico.¹
