America Virginia was born on April 18th, 1846 in Kanawha Co., WV.1 America Virginia's father was Thomas Robert Jenkins and her mother was Martha Booker Fore. Her paternal grandfather was Obadiah Jenkins and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Young; her maternal grandfather was James Fore and her maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William Hurt, John Reuben, Robert Thomas, Joseph Scott, Lafayette Rosser, George Washington, Sarah Ellen, Mary Ann Booker, Catherine Barnett, Martha Susan and Pauline Annette. She was the second youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 72 on May 9th, 1918 in Kanawha Co., WV.1 -
