George Washington was born on January 4th, 1849 in Kanawha Co., WV.1 George Washington's father was Thomas Robert Jenkins and his mother was Martha Booker Fore. His paternal grandfather was Obadiah Jenkins and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Young; his maternal grandfather was James Fore and his maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William Hurt, John Reuben, Robert Thomas, Joseph Scott, Lafayette Rosser, Sarah Ellen, Mary Ann Booker, Catherine Barnett, Martha Susan, Pauline Annette and America Virginia. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 75 in February 1924 in Kanawha Co., WV. He was buried in Jenkins Cemetary Sissonville Rd Charleston WV.1 1 General Notes
