Sarah Ellen was born about 1828.1 Sarah Ellen's father was Thomas Robert Jenkins and her mother was Martha Booker Fore. Her paternal grandfather was Obadiah Jenkins and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Young; her maternal grandfather was James Fore and her maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William Hurt, John Reuben, Robert Thomas, Joseph Scott, Lafayette Rosser, George Washington, Mary Ann Booker, Catherine Barnett, Martha Susan, Pauline Annette and America Virginia. She is the third oldest of the twelve children.-
