John Lewis McVey 
John Lewis was born on August 24th, 1835 in Mercer Co., VA.1 John Lewis' father is James McVey and his mother is Phoebe Higginbotham. He was an only child. He died at the age of 82 on May 18th, 1918 in Kanawha Co., WV.1 
John Lewis and America Virginia were married in a religious ceremony on March 28th, 1865 in Kanawha Co., WV.1 They had nine sons and two daughters, named Sanford S., Edgar, Fred, Earnest H., Robert E., Melvin, Albert M., John B., Walter B., Ida Mae and Maude.
