Rushing, 84 died in Montgomery, Alabama. Widow, Mrs. Ella Spradley
Rushing; two daughters, Mrs. Kate Sellers and Mrs. Lewis Black; two
brothers, Robert Rushing, San Antonio, Texas and Jack Rushing of Troy,
Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Howard and Mrs. J. W. Redmond of Troy,
Alabama. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, Alabama.

On 18 May 2000 Foye Ivey told me that her father, Joseph, made his own
eggnog for Christmas and on occasions he would put a little whiskey in
the eggnog. She also said he rowed his own cigarettes with Bull Durham
tobacco.
