Elizabeth and Mathew had five known children, and there were probably
others. Elizabeth migrated to Montgomery County, AL some time after 1820.
Mathew and Elizabeth's five known children also migrated to Alabama about
the same time. In 1850 Elizabeth had removed to Pike County and was
living with her youngest son William Cain Rushing. Elizabeth died between
1850 and 1860; however, her place of burial is unknown. In some records
her maiden name is Matthews, and he birht place Beaufort Dist. St.
Peter's Parrish, SC.
One record has her maiden name as Matthews
Elizabeth and Mathew Malachi were married in a religious ceremony before 1785 in Beaufort, St. Peters Parish , SC.1 They had four sons and two daughters, named Mathew, Malachi, Arthur, William Cain, Temperance and Rosannah.

Temperance Rushing
Temperance was born about 1795 in Beaufort District, St. Peters Parish, SC.1 She died in July 1876 in Pike Co., AL. She was buried in Beulah Cemetery, Pike County, AL.1 1
Rosannah Rushing
Rosannah was born about 1806 in Beaufort District, St. Peters Parish, SC.1 She died in December 1868 in Union Parish, La. She was buried in Liberty Cemetery, Union Parish, LA. Located 1 and 1/2 miles south of Linville, LA..1 1
William Cain Rushing
William Cain was born about 1810 in Beaufort District, SC.1 He died on December 19th, 1879 in Pike Co., AL.1
