Can you give me documentation on the father as Solomon? I am a decendant
of Malachi Rushing Beaufort District SC twin brother to Mathew who moved
to Mississippi in 1808. The majority of us who decend from this line
believe the father of these two to be a Mathew Rushing of Anson NC born
1740.

Elizabeth Thornhill in Beaufort, St. Peters Parish SC. He d. 1815 in
Beaufort SC. His wife and children moved to Pike Co AL some time after he
died and were buried there. The children were Mathew Rushing, Arther

RON:
Elias Jeanerette is an approved soldier of the Revolution by SAR. So you
do not have to prove his service; you only have to show acceptable proof
of each generation that you descend from him.
The father of William Cain Rushing, Matthew Rushing, has also been
accepted by SAR, and I filed a supplemental application on him. Reference
to my National number of 144027 is sufficient reference to his service.
Application must be filed through one of the chapters in Alabama (I
assume you reside in Alabama). Go to our National web site, www.sar.org
and the Alabama Society can be accessed, as well as the various chapters
and the chapter officers. Get in touch with one of them for information.
