Baptist Church. He was in Co., B, 53rd Ala. Cavalry Regt., C. S. A.

Mrs. Jane Rushing died at her home near Youngblood Tuesday afternoon
at 4:20 o’clock after a lingering illness. She was 88 years of age
January 8, 1927 and was a true Christian, being a faithful member of Good
Hope Church. She lived a long and useful life and will be missed by her
many relatives and friends.
She is survived by four sons and four daughters; W. E. Rushing of
Atmore, R. L. Rushing of Lockhart, J. J. Rushing and F. J. Rushing of
Troy, Mrs. Fannie Youngblood of South Carolina, Mrs. William Howard, Mrs.
C. T. Spradley and Mrs. John W. Redmond of Montgomery and a number of
grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mourn her death.
The funeral services were held at Good Hope Church the afternoon at
3:00 o’clock and were conducted by J. O. Colley, Supt. of the Baptist
Orphanage. The body was laid to rest in the Good Hope Cemetery with
Carroll in charge.
