Ida Lizzie was born on March 23rd, 1866 in Pike Co., AL.1 Ida Lizzie's father was John Eager Howard Rushing and her mother was Eliza Jane Jenerett. Her paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing; her maternal grandparents were Elias G. Jenerett and Ann Eliza Thomas. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William E., Joseph Johnston, Robert E. Lee, Francis Jack, James D., Francis Adeline, Mary, Hortense and Lottie. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 75 on October 5th, 1941 in Pike Co., AL. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, Pike Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

Gertrude P. Parnell via the mail on August 20, 1996.
Mrs. Charles T. Spradley
TROY, ALA., Oct. 5 - Mrs. Charles T. Spradley died at 1:30 p.m. today
after a long illness at her home in the Hepzibah community near here. She
is surived by her husband; one son, Ray Spradley; two daughters, Mrs.
Cleve Youngblood, of Troy, and Mrs. A. L. Chancey, of Hartford; four
brothers, W. E. Rushing, of Atmore; J. J. Rushing, of Troy; Robert L.
Rushing, of San Antonio, Texas, and F. J. Rushing, of Youngblood, and two
sisters, Mrs. Mollie Howard and Mrs. Redman, of Youngblood. Funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the home, conducted by the
Rev. Ross Dillon, assisted by the Rev. W. M. Rush. Burial will be in
Oakwood Cemetery under direction of McGehee Funeral Home.
