Ray Rushton was born on June 11th, 1891 in Pike Co., AL.1 Ray Rushton's father was Charles Thomas Spradley and his mother was Ida Lizzie Rushing. His paternal grandparents were James Stephen Spradley and Julia Boone; his maternal grandparents were John Eager Howard Rushing and Eliza Jane Jenerett. He had two sisters named Maude and Minnie Mae. SPRADLEY, Ray Rushton, 74, died Wednesday, services will be at 2:30 p.m.
Friday from McGehee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Browning
officiating. Burial will be in Greenhills Memorial Park. McGehee Funeral
Home of Troy directing. Surviors include his widow, Mrs. Ray Spradley,
Troy; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Grier, Troy; Mrs. M. C. Furlow,
Daytona Beach, Fla, and Mrs. Mary Terry, Cocoa Beach, Fla; two sons, Rush
R. Spradley, Dayton, Ohio, and Joseph P. Spradley, New Orleans, La; a
sister, Mrs. A. L. Chancey, Hartford, and two grandchildren. The family
requests the ? of flowers. Active pallbearers will be Herman Youngblood,
Charles Youngblood, Donald Youngblood, Russell Gibson Jr., Sidney
Startling, and Burton Green.
