Jepe Kirkham was born on November 7th, 1861 in MS.1 Jepe Kirkham's father was Francis Marion McEwen and his mother was Lena Olive Ransome Melton. His paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Mercer Melton and Nancy E. Worrell. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Thomas, George Robert, William Sanford, Benjamin Franklin, Frank Houston, Sarah Louisa, Susan B., Nancy Josephine, Mary Ann Katherine and Ida Lee.
